Bird and Berries

Copyright J.R.Bee 2016

This little bird was very obliging, just sat there whilst I snapped away. Thanks little guy.

I think it’s a finchy type bird. My capacity for not knowing the names of things never ceases to amaze me.

Though I can tell you it is definitely a bird and those are definitely berries.

White Dainty Flowery Things

Copyright JRBee 2016

I’ve been told this is an elderflower plant, which means it has potential for wine making. Whatever it is it’s extraordinarily beautiful.  I love how the colours almost make this image look three dimensional.

Deer Amidst Destruction

Copyright J.R.Bee 2016

This was one hell of a lucky snap.  The deer had just spotted us and looked up, I just about managed to grab a couple of shots before it turned tail and ambled off. I love the look of curiosity on its face, quite pleased with the composition too.

As usual you can find this image on mugs and things.

Golden Sunset

Copyright J.R.Bee 2016

This image was taken in autumn on some moorland.  I love how the light in this looks sepia, it looks like an effect but I can assure you it’s not and is actually one of my fav sunset pics to date.

I do have a bit of a thing about photographing the sun through the trees.  I don’t know why, it just appeals for some reason.

Do you have artistic habits or inclinations that you just can’t help falling in to?

As usual here are some of the things this art can be found on, the leggings have been created using a gradient with the colours taken from the photo.

A Wave of Purple Flowers

This was taken last year whilst walking through some formal gardens.  These photogenic flora were great posers.  Not sure what they are though, purple daisy things maybe?

I’m quite pleased with how the focus is set up with this one, it makes the image look so much softer leading away from the eye.

I also couldn’t resist making some leggings using a gradient with colours taken from the flowers.

Do you have any idea what these flowers are?

Twilight Skies

Image copyright j.r.bee 2016

This one was taken many years ago, the light was perfect, even the shadows played ball that night, it was like being on holiday in my own garden.  As a result of these perfect conditions this image is uncoloured and unphotoshopped in any way.

I had just started taking photos that weren’t of my friends and I so I was really chuffed at how well my snaps were coming out.

It was taken on a digital point and click, before I got my lovely Olympus, so the file isn’t very big, and could only get it to fit on certain things, but it has a lovely quality to and I love the colouring of the sky.

The camera that birthed this is now battered, broken and a doesn’t snap as well as it used to, but I still have it cause of the memories.

What’s the best photo you’ve taken of the night sky?

Spring In My Step

As ever  winter has been long in lasting and slow in leaving, but now it has there is evidence of spring!

Joyous floral spring, with actual sun.

So these pics are to warm the hearts and souls of all you who are weary of winter and need your minds warming.

I am quite chuffed with the arrival of this spring as the focus in my camera has finally been fixed.  For ages I just thought I was really bad at taking photos, now I have discovered I’m not too shabby.

As an aside, I’m afraid all these photos are © J.R.Barker 2015.

The Singing Tree

Okay it doesn’t actually sing, but it does look as if it’s bursting into song.

There are a whole row of these amazing tress, that I rambled across on one of my many walks, not all hollowed out but they have formed some pretty cool shapes.

I hope you are all having a wonderful easter!
